Zel Nodes setup at trttNodes
How to deploy a Zel node in 3 clicks
We will show you how to implement a Zel node on the trttNodes platform.
This guide is valid for all the Zel Nodes Tier, the only change needed to deploy it properly is the tx size.
- Basic: 10,000 ZEL.
- Super: 25,000 ZEL.
- Bamf: 100,000 ZEL.
REQUIREMENTS
- Zel desktop wallet.
- Collateral amount + 1 coin more.
- 5€ in balance in Trittium at the trttNodes platform.
This guide assumes you have already downloaded and fully synced the Zel wallet.
The Zel wallet is unique, and quite a bit different than your standard QT wallet, so it takes some getting used to.
To run Zel nodes via the wallet, you will want to run it in “Full Node” mode. To start the full node, click the “ZelCash” logo:
Then click “Full Node”, later “Launch Full Node”:
This will start a process that downloads some necessary files. Once that’s done, and it’s fully synced 100%, click the “Launch ZelCash” button:
Once you’re at the main screen, you will want to make a new address and label them to stay organized, especially if you plan on running multiple nodes. Click “Receiving Addresses” then “New Transparent Address.”
You should now have at least two addresses. The default one, any previous ones you may have used and the one we just created. Now let’s label the new one, so we know where the funds will be located once we start doing transactions.
You can copy the addresses only by clicking them. So let’s go ahead and click the one we just created.
Now let’s close the screen, then click “Contacts”, then “New Contact”. We will label it “TRTT.Zel.Basic.01” and paste the address in the proper cell, then click “Save”.
Now, we send the 10,000 Zel collateral to the new address label we just created. Click “Send” then in the “From” field, select the address containing the source of the funds, in the “To” field, select the address label you chose for your new Zel node. Enter 10,000 for the amount and click “Send”.
We are creating here a BASIC Zel node. If you are deploying a different size one, make the tx size you need (10,000, 25,000 or 100,000 ZEL)
A box will pop up, which shows your transaction ID. Click the TX ID to copy it, and paste it in a notepad file as you will need this ID when setting up the node on the Trittium platform.
Login into your trttNodes account and press the “SETUP NODE” button.
In this example, we will deploy a Basic Zel Node (ZEL).
So, we search for “ZEL” in the search bar and click the ZelCash logo:
Now it is time to set up your masternode.
- Paste here the collateral transaction needed from the wallet. (The one we created at the ZEL wallet). You must wait for at least one confirmation for the TXID to register.
- Press Setup Masternode.
Show Instructions. When you press there, a text box will appear below, explaining how to create the transaction and get the Tx ID.
Once you press “Setup Masternode” you will see this pop-up.
Now click “Done”. Then on the left column of the Trittium website, click on “Portfolio” then click “My Nodes”.
This will bring you to your dashboard. At this point, the status of your node will show “Processing”.
Within a few minutes, you will be getting a confirmation e-mail from Trittium, which includes all the required data for your zelnode.conf file.
Navigate to the “Zelcash” folder in the “Roaming” directory and open the Zelnode.conf file, then paste the line that was provided to you in the e-mail you received from Trittium.
**You can also get such line if you press the green play button at the platform into the “My Nodes” option.
Save the file. Then exit and restart the Zel wallet in “Full Node” mode.
We are almost ready to start the node. First, we have to make sure the TX ID has 15 confirmations. Navigate to Zel Explorer and paste your TX ID in the search box and press enter. Scroll down until you see the number of confirmations.
In this particular case, we only have 11 confirmations. Refresh the page every few minutes until you have 15.
Once you have 15 confirmations, return to the Zel wallet, then click “Tools” then “ZelNodes Management” then “Start Zelnodes”.
It will ask you two questions. Click “Single Node” (Or the node size you are deploying), then select the node you wish to start. Then click “Start ZelNode.”
After a short while, your node should now be “Enabled” on the Trittium platform, and it should look like this:
